The Star Destroyer Avenger is the first element of a poster I plan to due for The Empire Strikes Back. Other elements include: Cloud City (although I'm still not sure if I'm going to use the film version or Ralph McQuarrie's version), Darth Vader, Boba Fett, General Veers, an Imperial Probe Droid, Emperor Palpatine, & Tie Fighters.

I may also use The Super Star Destroyer Executor, Admiral Ozzel, Storm Troopers, Admiral Piett, and Captain Needa.

As you can tell, I plan to make the villains the stars of this particular illustration. I give the heros their due, but after all, the bad guys rule in this film.

All of these elements will be created in Adobe Illustrator using the pen tool. All I have is Illustrator 10 which does not have "live trace." I have not used "live trace" and doubt that I ever will.

Once finalized, the elements will then be dropped into photoshop where I may play around with them a bit more.
